There must be a world shortage of terri cloth, either that or the overseas refuses to make them anymore because of difficulty to sow all the away around the towel.

i think they are over priced its a bit of a cartel situation with the cotton industry
because it can see all of ur body.
Creating the thickness involves more material. Compare the weight of a towel(dry) and that of a pillow case, t-shirt, etc. The towel really isn't that expensive per unit of mass.

Bathing towels are expensive because they are made up of pile weave fabric which soaks lot of water due to its good construction.So they can give better absorbent quality compare to the rest of the materials to be used as towel fabrics.





So generally you must have noticed that the towel, napkins are made from same kind of fabrics for better absorbency.
Usually the price of the quality cotton, a tip is tobuy them in a bale, they are slightly cheaper. Also a great time to buy them is seasonal sales, where they may have discounted prices or even buy one get one free.
Because the manufacturers have to pay little Jimmy and Tina 4 cents an hour to sew in a hot underground garment factory and at that rate, there's very little profit left!
Because they will last 47 years......
I know, it costs $70-$100 for a room at a hotel and all you get to keep are 2 towels. What a rip!





If bath towels are too expensive try drying yourself off with hand towels.

Try Ross store. Cost of big size bath towel-$5-$6. I don't think that it's expensive because you can use tham for a long time.
