My colored bath towels smell like mildew,?

How can I take the smell out without bleaching %26amp; ruining the color? My colored bath towels smell like mildew,?
You need to kill the mildew to take care of the odor. Vinegar kills mildew. Wash the towels again and add 1 cup white distilled vinegar to the wash. Dry them completely. Fabric softener will only cover up the smell with its own fragrance, it will not kill the germs/mildew causing the smell.

Non fabric bleach, fabric softener.Dry them outside, and make sure they are fully dry before putting them away.
You must use an Organic Dish-washing Liquid like Mrs. Myers from Metropolitan Market

Do not use Commercial Products like Tide.
sun shine.
Clothes can smell like mildew and just a horrible smell if you don't take them from the washer to the drier in an adequate amount of time. Especially so in the summer.

Just rewash them in detergent, put them directly in the drier with a dryer sheet and the smell should be gone.

Remember...don't leave wet clothes sitting in the washer for too long after they have been washed.
wash it in some soap powder and soak it in some comfort for a while put it in machine spin it out then hang it on line
You're not drying them fully.

When you launder again, add 1/2 C. baking soda to the wash water.

That will rid the smell, and cheaply!
Put distilled white vinegar in the wash water. Makes them smell fresh and will protect the color.
Re-wash in hot water with extra detergent. This always works for me. If it is really bad, I sometimes run them through the washer twice.
