We shed millions of skin cells daily. When we wash, we loosen them. When we dry our skin, even thought we are cleaned up with soap and water, our skin cells further slough off onto the towel. This leaves mineral deposits and bacteria behind to grow on the dampened towel. Hope this helps. Why do we wash bath towels? Aren't we clean when we use them?
You're never totally clean after a shower, you're only significantly less dirty. You still have some bacteria on you, and a warm, wet towel is just the kind of place where they like to live. After a few uses, you can see how grody the towel becomes, especially from dust and grime that adhere to the wet towel while it is hanging. Why do we wash bath towels? Aren't we clean when we use them?
Dude, I totally have a blog on myspace of intriguing questions and this was one of them. Weird. You either stole it from me or we're just awesome.
Because you are using them to wipe water off of you and they get damp. After a while the towel starts to stink so it is necessary to wash them.
Because someone could have sneeze on them in the store.
there are dead skin cells on them from drying your body
Even though we are clean when we dry off we are wiping away skin cells that cause bacteria to grow. Towels will take on a sour smell.
have you ever heard of mildew . its cause from the towels being wet. after you use one for a few time put it up to your nose and take a deep breath . then you will know why to wash them
When you rub a towel over your wet body you are rubbing off a lot of dead skin cells and bacteria that accumulate and build up in the towel. This dead skin detrius then begins to rot and the towels will start to emit a stench from bacterial action and rotting skin. This is a good reason to wash the towels.
i konw what you are saying, but when the body wet and we wipe it the towel get wet could cose mode to grow so good idea to wash it maybe twice a week
yes but after you use them they are wet and they can get moldy after a while.
ahh because after they get wet they can get mouldy...and isn't it nice to get out of the bath or shower and have a clean fresh towel??
When we take a bath we are not 100% clean. Dead cells, undetectable body odors and a pubic hair or two are the reasons we wash the towels.
