How do you get the musty smell out of your bath towels,i have tried everything but buying new towels.?

Great news! I just had the same problem %26amp; I was ready to turn my towels into car rags %26amp; buy new ones. Then i tried Clorox Oxi Magic. Put in two scoops with my reg. soap, ran half way thru a wash cycle %26amp; stopped the washer. Let them sit %26amp; soak about an hour before restarting the machine. The musty smell was gone! I couldn't believe it! I tried everything %26amp; nothing worked 'till the Clorox Oxi Magic. Try it, it works!How do you get the musty smell out of your bath towels,i have tried everything but buying new towels.?
Wash them with a little white vinegar in the water.


Hang them outside in the sun.


If you dry them in doors,

If they have been sitting for a period of time, they need to be rewashed....it's a linen thing, and nobody understands!
Had the same problem, wash them with a product called Odo-Ban.
Wash them with 1/2 cup of fabuloso. Each wash. Dry with Bounce sheet s.
try washing smaller loads...
um... well i haven't had the problem, but i remember my mother mentioning that she did a while back, and that borax is what she uses to fix it.
