Why do men always want to use the decorative bath and dish towels????

Bath towels and Dish towels are supposed to be decoration why do men always want to use these to wipe their hands on?Why do men always want to use the decorative bath and dish towels????
Guys don't care about decorative bath and dish towels we just want to dry our hands, and we use what is around. I mean what is the point in these things, it is like the ';Good'; dishes my mom had/has, you know for that company that never came over. Why buy things that can't be used for there purpose? Guys don't get that whole decorative thing. Why do men always want to use the decorative bath and dish towels????
because they are there.
Because they are usually not aware of the difference or don't care!
Seriously!! I can't figure that out! That's because they act without thinking!
what the !!HELL!! good are they if cant use them.DAM.
I would counter with, why do women put out towels that can not be used? It's like having chairs you can't sit on or a rug you can't walk on.

My wife, I am happy to say, puts clean but usable towels in our powder room. The whole room is decorated to be neat, clean but clearly intended to be used.
cause they are there out in the open if you don't want us to use them don't put them out..
Why have them if you can't use them. Decorative soap is akin to having plastic fruit.
They're so .... so .... hand .... dy!!!!!
No self-respecting bachelor would have anything like that in their own place so it's kind of a fascination with the unknown.
LOL! Because, to a guy's mind, form follows function. If it looks like a towel, is made of the same material as a towel, and your hands get dry when you use it like a towel; then it must be a towel. That's why the guys never dry their hands on the knickknacks or the curtains!

What would you think if a guy spent about the same amount of money for a 'decorative' dishwasher, put it right where you'd use it anyway, put the 'intended' functional one off to the side, %26amp; got worked up if you put dishes in the wrong one? :D

Seriously, though: I can usually tell a decorative towel from a functional one, but I'm still mystified with this compulsion to have something that looks so much like it should serve a purpose other than decoration. Why not just put up something TRULY decorative?? You know, like a picture or a floral arrangement!!
Form follows function. Have you ever heard of a ';decorative '; red rag?
Because they're towells. Having decorative ones are a waste of space. If they're not being used, what good are they?
HaHaHa. I've given in to this one just a couple of months ago. It's not worth the energy I was putting into it. They don't get it and I know for sure, mine never will.
because our wives get cranky if we use the curtains
In most homes they are actually used. I don't think you should put out any towels in a bathroom that you don't want used.
Funny how that works, isn't it. Like bath towels and dish towels were only supposed to be decoration, and men should wipe their hands on their pants? Lighten up a bit! If it really bothers you, get several sets, so you can put one out when company comes and use the others the rest of the time.

I figure my family is entitled to use the best we've got -- especially my husband, because he's the one who paid for most of it!
*lol* EXCELLENT question!

Maybe I will ask my husband to enlighten me!
CAUSE THERE HANGING THERE I DO NOT HAVE TO GO LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO DRY MY HANDS
I believe that men do not know what that is. They see it as something to dry their hands off with. I have told my husband so many times, he now knows, but occasionally he slips and uses one. Most men are oblivious to decoration, of any kind.
When you find the answer to that, let me know, just this morning I went into the guest bathroom and find my WHITE decovrative towels are now black.
