Why do we wash bath towels if we're clean when we use them?

Shouldn't they stay clean? Why do we wash bath towels if we're clean when we use them?
Is a towel you cleaned your behind with clean?

I don't think so.Why do we wash bath towels if we're clean when we use them?
You can't be serious. Anything that you use like that looses it cleanliness. Germs, dry skin, etc. needs to be washed.

Why do we wash anything?
They are full of dead skin cells, hair, who knows what from drying your butt, etc.
towels need to be washed regularly,

when you come out of the shower/bath,

your skin is moist and when you rub it to dry it,

some of your skin cells come off on the towel,

could you imagine, not washing your towels,

how clean would you be if you used towels with old damp skin cells all over it, you wouldn't be too clean........

it is no different than bed sheets, when you sleep you also loose skin cells, wash your towels and sheets regularily
Keep using the same towel and you'll find out
They get damp, skin cells, and some soap remains, that means they can breed fungus and mold and so they need to be washed and dried regularly.
Americans wash towels after a bath because of commercialism. When you watch American television, there are dozens of people holding up clean laundry to their noses in order to smell how 'pretty' their clothes are. ?????

Earth-friendly hotel chains have signs posted in the bathrooms asking their guests to conserve energy and re-use bath towels if possible.

In order to survive, humans must have bacteria. Bacteria is not always bad. In the USA, 50 yrs ago, laundry was often done totally by hand, people bathed once a week, and washed their hair once a week (even when they worked hard on the farm).

Dead skin particles do not harm people. If you hang your towel on a rack after use, it will air dry and you can safely use it again. It is a choice people have in order to be conscious of saving our environment and not depleting resources. Good Luck !
Have you been reading Dilbert ? lol

No we have dead skin cells (that you can't see) and the water attracts dust.
We're clean, but not sterile. Towels absorb and brush off oils and dry skin (there are some of both left on our skin and hair, regardless of how thoroughly you scrub yourself). After a while, they'll build up and it becomes sort of gross to continue using the same towel. Same can be said for changing sheets on your bed weekly. You shower every night before bed and you're clean when you get in, but the sheets absorb oils from your hair and skin, sweat, dead skin, etc., and they should be changed often.
ewwwwwwwwwww because all your dry dead skin and hair falls off onto the towel. Even if you scrub you still have skin come off,,, yukko...t
Ever smell a used bath towel?

Besides, when you get out of the shower, you have many loose skin cells. When you dry yourself off these cells are left in the towel. do you want to get these old dead cells on you the next time you're ';nice and clean';?

This is just one reason, I suppose there are a lot more, but this is enough for me
Dilbert WOULD come up with something like that, wouldn't he?
Not exactly. At least 10% of our bodies aren't clean even after showers, baths, etc.. Besides when you leave your towel around, it collects tiny microbes that can sometimes be harmful to your health. (most of the microbes consist of dead skin, dust, and other stuff so small you need a microscope to view it.) Towels should be changed every week.
When we get out of a bath, we still have the residue of soap scum-and loose skin that hasn't been removed completely with washing, obv this collects in the towel fibers, and over a period of time the dead skin flakes rot, making a very unpleasant bacteria.
They should, but after a while they stink of humidity, oh, and are also full of hairs. ew.
cause they get all the flakey yuk off out bodies onto themmmm ewwwwwwwwwwwwww.............t
Damp towels will have tons of bacteria on them after they get wet. That why you have to wash them.
You wash bath towels because is is filled with particles of skin that u shed and it all comes off in the towel when u dry ur skin and if u don't wash ur towel it eventually smells mouldy. We might think our skin is clean when we bathe but it is not, it becomes clean when we dry it. The towel rubs off all the dirt and grime which is left after u bathe.
