How can I make my new bath towels, feel less fluffy? It's like using a cotton ball? HELP!?

I tried washing them several times without using softner in the wash or dryer sheets, but they still are so linty and acutally repel water.How can I make my new bath towels, feel less fluffy? It's like using a cotton ball? HELP!?
Try this...don't use fabric softerner, then hang them outside on a clothes line to dry. I can guarantee, they won't be fluffy after that. It will actually make them kind of ';stiff';. Hope this works!How can I make my new bath towels, feel less fluffy? It's like using a cotton ball? HELP!?
Do not use fabric softener. Use a ';cheap'; detergent. If you really want to go wild,,,,, hang then outside to dry instead of using the dryer.
try washing them in a load with rugged material, like denim jeans.
try changing your detergent and use a new/different softener. My boyfriend towel were the same way and i hated it, so i made him buy new detergent and softner. dont get the cheap stuff, they usually makes the non- absorbent
