How do you make bath towels nice & fluffy again?

fabric softner and dryer sheets! How do you make bath towels nice %26amp; fluffy again?
You don't .

They are soft, because the fluff that is coming out of the threading. The fluff is soft and as a result breaks apart while use and during washing. After en years or so, they are paper thin and will scour your skin. Fabric softener will help for a whil, but in the long term, it actually reduces the life of your clothes and towels.

Point being, wash them as gently as possible with as little softener and possible and they will lst longer. Yours are probably already done being soft thoughHow do you make bath towels nice %26amp; fluffy again?
but new ones or steal them from the gym or hotels
they go hard because of the calcium deposits in hard water, adding anything that counteracts this usually helps. soda crystals added should help with it.
Put them inthe tumble drier with a Bounce sheet or two
Don't use a fabric conditioner, when towels are dry pop into a tumble dryer for about 3 minutes then you will have fluffy towels again just like the adverts
They may have a build up of facric softener.

Try washing on HOT with a cup of clear ammonia to remove the residue.

Then dry until fully dry.

If you have hard water, that may be the problem - in this case, instead of ammonia, use vinegar.

good luck
Liquid detergent, fabric softener and a hot iron will soften them up no end!
Tumble-dried works every time, supersoftness helped by a good fabric softener in the wash first.
Fabric softner and if you can hang them outside to dry ....but to be honest sometimes when they've lost that fluffiness it doesn't come back !!! Expensive towels last longer.
dry them in the drying machine and dont iron them.you will be surprised
Have you tried tumble drying them? It works on mine, even the scabby dog towels that have been covered in mud time and time again! They don't come out like new, but they are always much fluffier than if I line dry them.
At some point they all lose their fluff %26amp; are good only to dust with. You might try liquid fabric softener and then a fabric softener sheet in the dryer. If nothing else, they'll smell very nice.
Once they've lost their fluffiness it's probably time to buy new. I only use dryer sheets for towels as liquid fabric softener tend to ';coat'; the fibers and they don't seem to dry you off so well. If you've been using liquid fabric softener, try washing them again and using dryer sheets. Maybe it will help.
I'm not sure what you are asking, but I know it kind of fluffs them up if you put a tennis ball in the dryer with them.

GOOD LUCK!!
launder them with vinegar in the water.

First launder them with vinegar in the water. It will remove soap residue that has been building up. Then launder in a liquid fabric softener %26lt;use double the recommended amount%26gt;

Never hang them to dry, they will get rough and scratchy. Dry in the dryer with a few fabric softener sheets.
wash them in fabric conditioner and dry them in a tumble drier.
After drying them outside put them in your tumble dryer for 20 minutes
Well I use the Persil non- bio washing powder and Jobo oil comfort conditioner, and I tumble dry them all the time, I find that if you dry them outside it makes them go all hard for some reason.

I suppose because of the sun! And with the tumble dryer it is quicker, they are always soft and fluffy!

I would say wash them again and take my advise. Good Luck!
You should NEVER EVER use fabric conditioner on towels. It makes them less absorbent. If you have a tumble drier then just use that. It will revive old tired towels really well too. If you haven't got a tumble drier, perhaps you could take them to a launderette and use the ones there, or maybe a friend or relative would have one.
I like dryer sheets. They're easy. Also, I recently saw this plastic ball thing with plastic nubs sticking out of it at the local drugstore/pharmacy (like Walgreens). It's suppose to work without dryer sheets or softener. I haven't tried it yet, but if anyone has, let us know how it works.
Put them into a tumble-dryer.If you don'have one maybe take them to a laundry(also use a good softener)
if fabric softener doesn't do the trick they are probably past their prime. might be time to get new towels.
try liquid softner in the washer n dryer sheets n the dryer- but u have todo it in the washer - that new lavender theyre advertiseing works really good !!! even makes all my jeans soft
well i use the fairy washing powder and comfort, and dry them indoors on a clothes horse, if you dry them outside it makes them go hard for some reason good lusk
