How can I get rid of the smell of mildew from bath towels?

Hot water and 1 cup of white vinegar should do the trick. Also, taking them out of the washer immediately after the cycles end will help eliminate this problem. How can I get rid of the smell of mildew from bath towels?
Baking soda takes the odors out of most everything. Read washing instructions on the box and use the proper water temperature to prevent fading if your towels are colored. Bleach should never be used on colored items. How can I get rid of the smell of mildew from bath towels?
Try hot water, bleach and a hot dryer
Wash in hottest water possible and then put vinegar in rinse water.Line dry if possible....
Cinnamon Will knock out the odder of most anything. It can

even make a horse trailer smell like an apple pie.
try washing it with baking soda. just put a little in the washing machine with your washing powder
You shouldn't use bleach on bath towels. It will destroy the fibers. For fresher bath towels, add a scoop of baking soda, I usually dilute with water so that it doesn't clump on the material. Follow by adding your detergent as usual.
Sounds like you're not using enough soap when you wash them. If they are white towels, try using a little bleach with the load and wash them in hot water. Even if they are colored towels wash them in hot water but DON'T use bleach.
You can add either a cup of ammonia to the wash load, or add baking soda. Either one will do the trick when added to your normal detergent. The water temperature doesn't matter, but hot will kill any bacteria that may have accumulated.
Throw them away and buy new ones otherwise bleach the hell out of them.
i also had this problem, if towels are white a cup of bleach will work wonders, if colored towels, try clorox 2 promptly remove from washer and put in dryer or hang out to dry.
