Add vinegar to the wash a 1/2 to 1 cup depending how big the load.My bath towels STINK!!! When they are wet they smell musty and the smell gets onto your bodywhat should we do?
Are you leaving them wet sitting in a pile of laundry for a few days? If so it's mildew. Either lay them flat, hang them, or get them in the washer as soon as possible after using them.
Does your water smell? I have a well and at certaint times of the year, the water smells awful. I have a filtration system that helps, but at times, it is still noticeable. I also agree with the others that you must make sure that the towels are dry before folding and then stored in a dry place with air movement. Good luck!
wash em then change the place you store them for another
Wash your towels with one cup of white vinegar. This should help.
try taking a shower before u use ur towels.
Use a new towl every time you take a shower, don't just keep re-using them. Also, you can try washing them and then putting a little baby powder on them so that they stay nice. It also doesn't matter if the baby powder gets on you while you are drying yourself. It just makes you smell nicer.
Don't leave the towels dry on top of each other, spread them out to dry. Also, use Downy fabric softener in the washer and a dryer sheet in the dryer. if that doesn't work, get a new apartment because you probably have mold problems.
Don't leave them in a pile to get musty Moldy smelling!

Wash them in warm water with some Bleach and use Like a tablespoon or so of Arm and Hammer baking soda for large loads!

Hope this helps But try not to use to much bleach MAKE DAMN sure that you put them in the dryer and they are really dry before you put them away!
Had the same problem. Try storing your towels in a different place. I had mine under the bathroom sink, I guess it is too enclosed there.
Wash them frequently and make sure you hang them to dry after you shower.
MAYBE THIS COULD HELP!!!

Maybe it's your water. Do you hang up the towels to dry after you use them? If they are thrown on the floor in a pile that may be the problem.
