My bath towels are hard after a few years of use, is there something I can do to restore their softness. ?

I already use fabric softener and wash in hot water with a double rinse. My bath towels are hard after a few years of use, is there something I can do to restore their softness. ?
Fabric softener is coating the fibers. Most authorities say not to use fabric softener on towels. Wash as usual, and add a cup of vinegar to the first rinse. It will remove soap, and the fabric softener residue.

Then do the final rinse in clear water. Dry on hot. You will not smell the vinegar on the towels. My bath towels are hard after a few years of use, is there something I can do to restore their softness. ?
can't do much. But, never put towels in the dryer. The dryer will take away the absorbency's after a while. You will see signs in many outlet and retails stores telling you this.
Try tumble drying instead of line or radiator. You can just 'finnish them off'in the dryer, has the same effect and you won't use so much leccy
Replace the bath towels.
Try adding a 1/2 cup of iodized salt ( salt u use on food )to your wash and see if that helps.
i rlly dont think so, may just be time to replace lol
