Are the towels line dried?
Towels dried outside on the line tend to be stiff because they have not been fluffed as they dry. In lieu of using fabric softener, you can add a cup of white vinegar to your rinse cycle to soften, deodorize, neutralize residual alkalinity and minimize lint problems.
Again, towels dried on the line will tend to be dry %26amp; stiff. If you have a dryer, once you bring towels indoors, toss in dryer for a couple minutes to soften and fluff. How do I get my bath towels soft again like when they were new? Fab softner does not help.?
I'll bet your using to much soap. If you use a liquid you only need about 1/2 of what the bottle tells you to use. Don't use softener with towels every time. They become less absorbentHow do I get my bath towels soft again like when they were new? Fab softner does not help.?
doesnt a tennis ball have rubber in it? mm ive never heard of that but try it. unpop5 had a good answer at another question i was just in. but yeah, alot of soap can def do that. i like my towels stiff, because i think its gets me dryer better, so i dont put them in the dryer. try unpop's trick and if that doesnt work i say less soap and maybe more fabric softener. good luck!
first of all let us check to see if you are using too much soap. fill your washer with water only then add a cup of straight bleach. Start the washer after it runs a few minutes check it for suds. If there are a lot of suds or bubbles you are using too much soap in your laundry. This will make your towels stiff. If not buy a brand new tennis ball and put it in the dryer with the towels. You can keep reusing the ball. Have a nice day.. As proof keep two of your other towels folded on top of the dryer. Then fold two of the tennis ball towels and put them next to the other two.
using fabric softener on towels makes them less absorbent
